Nominate an Extraordinary Person
for Our Prestigious Silver Medal Award

It is time to nominate those exceptional people who make a difference in our industry, our community; and our lives for the highest Award Memphis Advertising Federation and American Advertising Federation has to offer: The Silver Medal.

The Silver Medal Award recognizes an entire career of outstanding accomplishment and contribution in advertising. Criteria include:

• Contribution to company:The nominee must have achieved success in one or more of the following areas of work: advertising agency, advertiser, media, academia, or advertising service.

• Creative ability:The nominee must have shown a consistent, high degree of creative, original thinking in the area of advertising in which the nominee has worked.

• Contributions to the general advancement of advertising:The nominee must have worked to increase the stature and raise the standards of the advertising profession.

• Contributions to the community:The nominee must have been active in civic, religious or other groups dedicated to some phase of human or social welfare.

Anyone may be nominated – MAF membership is not necessary.Deadline for entries is Friday, October 16, 2009.

How to Nominate Someone:
Nominations should be no more than three pages, single-spaced and may be e-mailed to Art Gilliam at wlokradio@aol.com; or mail a copy of nomination to Art Gilliam, WLOK Radio, 363 South Second Street, Memphis, TN 38013.

Please note: If your nominee is selected as the 2010 Silver Medal winner, you will be responsible for coordinating the production of a video for the January 27, 2010 Silver Medal presentation.Previous nominees will be considered only if a letter of re-nomination is provided by the October 2nd deadline. The surprise announcement and award of the 2010 recipient of the Silver Medal will be made at the January 2010 luncheon.
